Saturday July 26, 3pm Boston time (21:00 Amsterdam time)
To connect:
winboard -zp -ics -icshost winboard.nl -icshelper timeseal -fcp ENGINE.exe -fd ENGINEFOLDER -autoKibitz
(for UCI engines, add -fUCI)
This is on the same ICS as last month's tourney, which is a different one from that used before (which suffered a head crash of its HD). So if you did not participate last time, chances are that you need to apply for an account first.

Gaviota played almost a perfect tournament (that is what is needed to keep up with Texel) except the last game. With 0.5 point up, and a comfortable game against Baron, it ended up drawing with a lot of suffering. Very close to lose.
Adam's books seemed to work. Gaviota got out of all the openings with reasonable positions.

On the other hand, when I run Gaviota, I always feel that with a bit of luck on its side it has a chance of a top 3 finish or better. And it often achieves it. Miguel ran it himself of course today.
