Same here. Spartacus is not abandoned, it is just that I have been too busy with WinBoard and mini-Shogi to work on it, these past years.

Kinda know the feeling :) between Chu Shogi, Go, and Arimaa I sadly rarely play chess anymore.

You did know there is an XBoard development version that supports Chu Shogi? (The future 4.8.0. In the master branch of the hgm.nubati.net repository, but not yet pushed to GNU Savannah.)

Before only the WinBoard Alien Edition supported Chu Shogi. But now that HaChu will be available from Debian, I needed a Linux interface for it.

I also added new variants Mighty-Lion Chess and Chu Chess, which are interpolations between Chess and Chu Shogi. (This was easy once all the infra-structure was available to support Chu Shogi.

Hi HGM, how about a 10x8 chess event like in old days?
There a new SMIRF MS-180c version will be released soon.
Maybe there are some other people interested in such a
tournament, and not in always those boring 8x8 repetitions.

I am not HGM but I respect him very much... basically ANYTHING that HGM offers.. and pushes freely I try to mimic on my own OICS server.

While HGM does his own monthly tourey I've tried my own.. mostly due to different perspectives.. he is a 1 time all kicks all ass...

Mine was meant for a ICS where ANYONE could login and push their dev tree again at least 6-12 dif players in various levels

Edit: just realised this wasnt the OICS thread... sorry

man my brain is smush rightr now
