Thanks a lot for your great work, Matthias!

Do we have to download the chessGUI.exe from the separate link as well, or is everything included in the ChessGUI0.240e package? Sorry if I'm being dense :)

Regards,
Carl

If you have installed ChessGUI0.239, you need only chessGUI.exe.
ChessGUI0.240e package contains chessGUI.exe.

Cheers,
Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

I have not yet checked that part of the code.
Ignore it for now.
ChessGUI 0.240d is now available and will correctly say which engines are configured.

Matthias.
Thanks, yes that works. Didn't work initially, but I called up the engines and saved them again, and after that they move to configured now.

Cosmetic error

Post by Graham Banks »

Hi Matthias,

the following cosmetic error has been around for the past few versions (see second engine window at bottom).
Interestingly, I only get this on my Intel i5 (Windows 7) and not on my other computers, so not sure what the cause could be?

Graham.

Hi Matthias,

Strange, I just downloaded ChessGUI_net.zip (0.240e) which contains ChessGUI.exe dated 14/01/2013 18:15
and ChessGUI.zip(exe cannot work alone !) which contains ChessGUI.exe dated 14/01/2013 23:07 (0.240e?).
The two ChessGUI.exe are not the same...

...and when you look into ChessGUI.exe Properties and Version, you only find 1.0.0.0 (perhaps 0.240e would be nice?)

You can just start the .exe, the version number will display at the top bar.

I thought I was the only one with this. Yes I too get it on one machine but not another.
