i guess the guy behind don is one of those dutch inhabitants who eats these strange food, in plastic bags, changing the tournament hall into a garbage hill after 3 hours playing.

ok. don was there. as he was in the hague. i guess he liked it as much as we did.

And Don at ~3/4 of total time in video 1, with Erdo and Charles Leiserson in Hiarcs vs Cilkchess.

Ok, I finally chose to post the videos on YouTube:

- part 1: http://youtu.be/rx5cRd-CjiA
- part 2: http://youtu.be/lbm0oFWSh7w

ENJOY!

My first idea was to edit the videos, as I love editing videos, but I then decided to let Thorsten's videos untouched. Same thing when YouTube told me it could stabilize the videos: no thanks, raw material only.

this was done with a cheap video kamera ... no digital equipment.
and i think it seems the battery for autofocus was not that "fresh" anymore.

"nevertheless", as jaap van den herik would say, its funny to watch.

Thanks :) But all the merit belongs to Thorsten, really. And a bit to Ed and Google.

Sure, thanks to Thorsten and Ed as well for hosting the mp4s, though now a bit redundant due to youtube. So many people to recognize and to remember, Elvis, Jan Louwman, László Lindner, ... I didn't find Mikhail Donskoy in the video yet, who was at the ACG conference and also at least once in the playing hall.

Found him, video 1 3:09 - 3:14 center, left from Jan Louwman!
