What version and date of your GPSShogi you installed?


The version number appears to be 20111117.1.1-win32, dated Nov. 15, 2011.

I've made a short test on two computers:
the Windows 7 - 32bit (virtual machine, only 1GB memory) seems working
but with the other one, Windows XP, also only 1GB memory I have exactly the same problems

About testing:
(Check the environment variable OSL_HOME, which have to point to the directory containing "smp" and "data", so using different versions from a command-line, you have to set for example

set OSL_HOME=C:\Programme\gpsshogi
By the way: BCMGames is doing it automaticaly, so BCMGames is able to handle different versions of GPSShogi.)

Then uing the following commands after starting gpsusi.exe:

usi
isready
usinewgame
position startpos moves 9g9f 9c9d
go btime 60000 wtime 60000 byoyomi 2000
This two moves will force GPSShogi to leave the book.

On the XP-computer I've tested, I get the following output:

info depth 1 seldepth 0 time 16 score cp 21 nodes 8 nps 500 pv resign

info depth 2 seldepth 2 time 32 score cp 0 nodes 45 nps 1406 pv 2g2f 7a6b
info depth 2 seldepth 2 time 63 score cp 36 nodes 177 nps 2809 pv 7g7f 3c3d
... and then the process is terminating without giving any feedback.
