This makes GPS Shogi start, but when I try to make it play it just forfeits on time without moving. I guess it needs more memory than is available on my laptop; it does not seem to have a hash-size option.

I had the problem that you describe with the same errors, this problem was also fixed by rebooting the computer (it's just an environment variable that is set wrongly just after the install)

I don't understand Larry's problem. Normally 32-bit executables should have no problem running on a 64-bit system.


I believe that Larry wants to use the 64-bit version of GPS-Shogi with insufficient Memory installed.
