Well, it might need a bit of work on the tournament manager Mamer. Currently the approximation to Swiss the open-source version implements is not very clever.

But that should be easy to fix. I've already written a Swiss pairing engine for WinBoard that is a bit better. (It takes the colors into account when making the pairings, rather than ading them as an afterthought once the pairing is made.)

I would think other enterprising TDs would be interested in the fixes and features you've add to your ICS. Is your ICS code available for any kind of community effort?

It's $70 a year for membership, which is less than $6 a month. I realize there are people for whom that's a financial hardship, but for most computer chess enthusiasts, it is not out of range. And you not only get to see the tourney but other live events, download games, etc. I've been a member for 15 years and I think it's worth the cost.

We had a drop out which brought us to 19. So, Tracy ran Fairy-Max under the Regal1 account to make it 20 participants.
