Please check the UCI option "Tablebase usage" and make sure it is set to "Everywhere".
The default value is "Only At Root", which means it will not probe tablebases during search.

as the setting "only at root" is default - I made all games with that setting!

But I think, this gives no differences we can measure in Elo (+- 20). Even without gtb we will not see much differences.
What do you think? Will you change default next version?

So, you can improve your engine with 0,49 ELO (if resign = off in the interface).

Hi Frank,

I have found the bug. It was in the KBBKN evaluation, which always returned 0.00. Therefore the engine thought that giving up its knight is OK and makes no difference. This bug is present in both 0.70 and 0.80 versions.

Have you taken a look at the Intel C++ compiler for Linux? The Linux version is free, for non-commercial use.
