PostPost subject: I have killed my Star Beryl Plus. Unfortunately.    Posted: Mon May 21, 2007 9:58 pm Reply to topic Reply with quote
I was so tired of not being able to see if it was an E or F in display, so I did something desperately. I opened it. Pulled it down. Cut a bit of the lower plastic over the LED and put it together.
The display worked then. I saw the message without leaning forward. Only one little detail. It answered only from row 1 and row 8. I am rather technically, so I should have managed to do it. But something got wrong. It tried to rebuild it carefully, but the same result.
So I have killed my Star Beryl Plus.

Could be worse. I have not killed my Mephisto Modular MMll. Yet. Smile
