Selective Search issues #1-30 are now up

Post by Eric Wainwright »

Hello everyone,

The final batch of Selective Searches issues #1-30 is now available on the website:

http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/sel ... _1990.html

This completes the entire collection of Selective Search back issues that were created and produced by Eric Hallsworth. In these issues, you find coverage of:

- All the major computer chess tournaments from 1985-1990
- Reviews of all new dedicated machines
- Interview with Sid Samole of Fidelity (#23)
- Analysis of processor speeds and ratings (#25)

In addition, you can find recent posts of buying guides and product reviews from the late ’90’s here:

http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/sel ... xtras.html

Please enjoy,

Hi Eric

Many thanks to you and Mike.

I subscribed in the early days but as Eric introduced more articles about PC chess programs and less about dedicated chess computers, I lost interest in it.

Although I did keep all of my old copies for quite some time I eventually sold them off and occasionally wished I hadn't. Now I can read them all again so many thanks again.

Hmm, I didn't even know there was a problem. I downloaded them at around 3:30 AM EST.
