The Machines Are Coming For Poker

Post by Adam Hair »

An article about an ongoing poker match between 4 pros and Libratus, a computer poker program running on a 11200 core cluster (400 nodes, 28 cores per node):

Libratus is winning:

As an ex pro poker player, it's interesting me.
But even if some program can match poker pro in heads up no limit, there is a lot to do before winning in 6 max or 9 max for IA.

It is nice anyway to see AI better than human, because we will finally learn from them.

When it's the humans who blink first, it will be all over but the crying. :D Time to pull the plug.

I hope Libratus wins this heads-up competition so that they can move on to group poker which is much more complex.

The engine is trumping them all, last news had it at +$800k, all of the humans were at -$100k+

What is the leading AI project solving the stockmarket?
