Very strong performance from Komodo 8 4CPU on 40/20 list !! +51 Elo above Stockfish 5 4CPU.

Good to see that Arasan got a jumping!

CEGT is every time my best source!
Without CEGT my knowledge to engines is 50% or more lesser!

Very strong performance from Komodo 8 4CPU on 40/20 list !! +51 Elo above Stockfish 5 4CPU.

Yes, that was a very pleasant surprise, although the gain over Komodo 7 was 53 elo points, just 3 more than my forecast. Even allowing for margin of error and for the estimated 16 elo SF has with their latest dev. version Komodo 8 would still be on top. So at least on 4 cpus we can claim to be the world's strongest engine now, since CCRL also has us well above SF on 4 CPUs (by 22 elo) at 40/40. It seems that the improvement to MP was rather significant.

Just what has happened to cegt ratinglists? Some general adjustments?

Below the ratings from 2014-07-14 - and to the left the ratings from 2014-10-10. Meaning rating for SF5 was 3174 in July and 3222 in October..

For these 7 engines difference of +43 to +61 elos..

I bet it is because they are using Ordo and dropped Elostat, which compressed ratings. The whole scale may have stretch. If it is what I think, you cannot compared those ratings in absolute terms (maybe only the differences between engines could be less drastic).
