DON 1.0b With licensed

Post by velmarin »

If you liked DON 1.0b, and missed his license, I added my own.

regret that the author makes many changes but has removed or recognition to Glaurung and Stockfish in makefile,
so I no will compile no more.

Download with license.

But do not be liable and you feel persecuted. The criticism was not to you. But to the infamous who withdraw any credit to its authors.

The author seems to change the philosophy.

He added the GPL license, put into several header files and how as a separate file.

He has written the full recognition in the Makefile, not in the readme.

I do not know if this is enough, the drive continues to develop every day.
Three members of the forum asked a compilation in private, but not to sow discord, expect better reviews.

Makefile:

Code: Select all

After some private email exchange with Ehsan we managed to agree that he will re-add both license file Copying.txt and also all the banners at the beginning of each file.

Actually the changes are mostly non-functional.

Now that I have browsed the sources more deeply I can state that search and evaluation almost 100% functional equivalent with latest Stockfish dev version.

I have took some ideas and ported to SF, but mainly regarding code style and renaming of some variable, plus some small ancillary function. Nothing real chess related also because, as I have already said, there is really no functional change difference with SF, so I'd expect same ELO level of latest SF (he is good in keeping track of all the changes to github SF repository).

Well 'improving' is a too big word, actually you are just doing some coding style stuff work on it, but at the moment I don't see any real functional difference with the original...and you have also still not re-added the license banners at the beginning of each file as you promised.
