When computers were in their single core stage we got a chess program that utilized it at 100%. Now if you want to utilize it at 100% you have to pay extra. If my car gets 25MPG with gas being $3.00/g and now my car gets 50MPG am I going to get stiffed for a gas now at $6.00/g?

In my personal opinion I feel that this is just a scheme to milk more money out of the consumer. Most machines today are MP so why not just give us what we had paid for before this "single" version or "MP" version balogna started. Some programs are reasonably price for their MP versions. HIARCS comes to mind and I know there a few others like this.
