Spark node count

Post by alpha123 »

With Spark 0.4 I get around 7000kN/s on average (), while with Spark 0.3a I get close to 4000kN/s on average. What was changed in spark to account for this huge difference?

(I have a Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50gHz [not overclocked] with 6GB DDR2 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.)

Just curious (it isn't everyday an engine's node count goes up 3000....),

anyone lucky enough to have really big hardware should run this engine just for kicks...on my rented dual hexcore (2.93 ghz so room for more for the real crazies out there (looking at you HEM) its hitting almost 30 million nps from the start position. insane.

Something like that I guess.

That means HEM would probably get around 35-40 million nps. Yeesh.

Well, I have switched development machines, before I was on 32-bit AMD, now I am on 64-bit corei7. So I was finally able to do some performance tuning for the 64-bit version.

Oh. Well, I'd say you really went all-out with that "performance tuning".....
