And nice to see that my old Prédateur 0.1.5 is doing quite well anyway (12th). The soon to be released Prédateur 2.0 will hopefully kick some tougher a**es.

Predateur 0.1.5 is doing better than I expected. It is at 15th position right now, with 1019 out of 1560 games played. So far, Predateur has lost 3 games on time. The positions were even at the end of the games, which happened to be at +- 100th move.

Hello Carlos,

yes, Pred 0.1.5 is crippled by a few bugs that produce results under its true level. I spotted several of them that I've corrected in the to be released Pred 2.0 Especially :
- the time bug you yet pointed out,
- a very nasty bug that make sometimes Pred play the last analyzed move instead of the best found, which as a result make it sometimes play just... randomly. (And you know that one move can be enough to ruin a game).
- the Razoring and futility pruning are very badly implemented and actually reduce the playing strength,
- a logical error in the Late Move Reduction also affects the strength of play.

BTW, do you think you can make the pgn archive of the games available when the tournament is over?
All those bugs probably result in a strength loss of 300-400 Elo. I (hopefully) fixed them, and improved the algorithms. So I'm confident that next version will cross the 2000. I won't release it if I'm not sure of that.
