this all reminds me on the scenes from medieval where the heretic was burning at stake and the bishop in front asked him: will you confess that you are a sinner ?

i have heard that XY is together with satan.
oh i have the suspicion that x is a witch and can fly on a broom.
did you see it ? no but somebody told me about it.

ok. lets burn the witch and see if she confesses her sin.

in all those discussion i have not seen much evidence.
only imaginations or suspicious positions and main lines.

even the people who have seen source code do not
come with clear statements.

Statistical correlational analysis, source code analysis, pv output, something else?
Sorry if this question has already been discussed here, today is the first day I read about this engine.
The reliable proof is the rating, not? A person that never released an engine before enters the scene with a rating of 3200+. What could be more conclusive proof? Even if I had seen him retyping the code of a top engine with my own eyes, there would still be reasonable doubt that he could type well enough to qualify it as a clone. But the rating makes it a certainty.

Or do you doubt the rating is what it is claimed to be?

Sound like the same thing said about Vas ....

You know zero. Let's hope they remove this thread soon.

Having said that, it is bust beyond belief. It should be interesting to see just how many of the cloners can fix it. We did......after 3 months.

Another zero I suspect.

Why one would want a Rybka that is already free is beyond me. Especially one as knackered as this one......I don't know.

nope, but people tend to forget fast...
BTW I already asked years ago, why are you always on the wrong side
regarding cloning issues?
If there is a clone you deny it, if there is no clone you see one?
Strange..

I tell you something Guenther. It is amazing when you look around just how much people want Ippolit to be crash free, multipv, and SMP just like the one we made.

It is quite amusing watching all the hackers and crackers thrashing about trying to make it work in any acceptable form.

Serves them right I think.

Right now Mr WildCrack and Mr Streaker are trying desperately to do something, (Maybe its a Russian thing...but that would be to forget Mr Uber) but alas noone is "immortal".

It took us all a while let me tell you.

In fact it is quite unrecognisable now. I could even rename it.......

Hahahaha

Anyway....there is something even stronger than our Ippolit.

Such is the price of "progress".

I guess it pays to be one step ahead of these people.

Personally I 'doubt' the rating. I ran this thing on my cluster when it came out. It crashed way more than I would have expected. It was quite strong, but has some _obvious_ severe bugs in it. I got rid of it right after seeing how often it crashed. It might be "reverse-engineered" but it was not very well done if so.

Christopher
I can confirm our team made an SMP x64 version of Ippolit that crushes Rybka hands down.

Good luck !
