After Doublecheck 3.4, I renamed my engine Discocheck (starting with 3.5). Many reasons for that choice:
- what used to be double check extensions and specific treatments in the search, actually became discovered check instead.
- Discocheck is chess slang for discovered check
- it contains disco and sounds like discotheque, which I found amusing
So in that vein, I should name the version with disco bands. You know MacOSX and Ubuntu name their versions with animal names
- DC 3.5 would be ABBA
- DC 3.6 would be Boney M
For the next version, I'll neeed a disco band starting ewith a "C". Any ideas ?
PS: jokes aside, Discocheck 3.6 is out at
http://wbec-ridderkerk.nl/html/details1/DoubleCheck.html
if anyone is interested. |

BTW, didn't you like the Treeplecheese name your engine got last april fools' day? _________________

Lucas,
The link text says 3.6, but the contents is still 3.5.1.
Nevertheless, I noticed I had not made an Android version since your name change, so I put the downloadable discocheck compiled for ARM at UCI and XBoard engines for Android.

Yes, Chic would certainly represent the Disco theme.
This makes me feel writing an engine with the name "Rock", first version,
Rock AC/DC!
Rock Beatles
Rock Creedence Clearwater Revival
..
Rock Who
Rock Yes
Rock Zappa (taken )
