All,

I have been watching all the important live chess events from work using http://livechess.chessdom.com/site/ for years now. But since Tuesday, I have been able to log in but I do not get any more content, i.e., NO ROOMS & NO GAMES! I keep getting the messages "Connecting ..." and "Disconnected ... (auto-reconnect in XX s)" but the connection never goes through. Sad

I believe the content comes from the chessbomb website. This site has been blocked by my work firewall since the beginning but http://livechess.chessdom.com/site/ still worked. Until Tuesday, that is. Maybe this hole in the firewall has been patched?

Also, at work I am forced to use IE7. Perhaps http://livechess.chessdom.com/site/ recently made some adjustments to their website which are incompatible with IE7. Just speculating.

If anyone has any idea what the problem is, please let me know. And don't say stop watching chess games at work! Smile Also, if anyone knows of another website that relays all the top events just like http://livechess.chessdom.com/site/ does, I'd be grateful if you could tell me about it.

Thanks

Glad it works for someone. Smile

I just cannot hold a connection at work with IE7. I am able to connect to the games briefly but then it permanently disconnects. Everything worked fine until Tuesday. It's driving me nuts!

Maybe your company wants you to start working on non-CC issues? Rolling Eyes

Plus one.

I'd stick to work if I were you, because 'distracted, and produces zero work' isn't going to be a good work reference.
