Sorry for posting in the wrong section, since I thought that everything related to any variants of Chess (Shogi, Omega Chess etc..) was allowed in this section. |

Did your post get deleted here or something ? AFAIK it is allowed here too since we have discussed variants here and the programming forums as well.
I don't know if the commercial aspect of omega chess will be a problem or not but it should be fine to discuss the game I presume. _________________ https://sites.google.com/site/dshawul/

No moderator deleted anything at all.
Nobody said Jorge cannot post about shogi here. I do not understand why he posted this. He was opening seven threads of the same topic at the same time, people complained, and he was suggested to focus on one of them.
Please, this is a non-thread. Let's move on and let CC threads to take over this one.

Starting 7 different threads about the same subject will always annoy people, no matter what the subject is. It is annoying to people not interested in the subject, because it pushes the things they are interested in away. And it is annoying to people that are interested, because they quickly lose track of which questions and answers are in which thread.
This holds in CTF as well as in CCC. Absolutely the worst is making extra posts to to announce you posted elsewhere... |

I just asked Julien to place all my 7 shogi threads under one combined thread. Thanks for the advice and I apologize for annoying any one of you. |

Well I honestly thought the guy was enthusiastic and forgave his mistakes just to get a discussion going on variants. But then he starts offering money ,offending everyone and finally trolling everywhere when his plans failed. Some people are too smart for their own good. _________________ https://sites.google.com/site/dshawul/

Please, Mr. Daniel I believe you took me wrong and you are turning this into 360%. When I saw your website I admired you for having all kinds of Chess variants, and your chess program Dan performed much better than I expected when I matched it versus Hermann. Since I thought that it was only rated close to 2150.
Engine Score Da He S-B
1: Dan 5.0/10 0110111000 25.00
1: Hermann 2.6 64 bit 5.0/10 1001000111 25.00
PS: Please forgive me for making an honest offer as a donation so you could allowed me to use your next DanOmega chess when released for a future Computer Omega Tournament In Canada. Now that I know how bad you took it, disregard your donation offer and lets continue being friends. |

Hello Jorge. Sadly, the tools we have are limited, and if we can split topics we sadly can't join them.
So, as I suggested you in my PM, the best thing would be to create a Shogi topic (simply call it "The Shogi Topic", for instance). With such an open name it will cover all your future needs, and if other people are interested with Shogi they'll be able to use it as well, instead of simply being able to answer you. _________________
