September?? In fact, nTCEC Season 2 will start on August 26, 2013.. :) Maybe, Richard abandoned developing Critter due to RHoudart's "cease-and-desist"letter. :(

Unfortunately Richard didn't manage to get a stable enough version for this second Season of nTCEC. Fingers crossed for Season 3!

Well, as you can see from the link Houdart is making threats to Richard. Kind of R=F but then with lawyers.

Curiously Robert Houdart never seems to reply to Richard's counter allegation that the space evaluation in Houdini is copied straight from Stockfish...

Its a bluff. Robert will never sue Richard. Remember Richard could always counter sue. Also Houdart would have to prove that Houdini is his origin chess engine which he himself says is not.

Critter 1.6 is stable and number 2 in my tournament just ahead of Houdini 1.5.

I do not see how richard can counter sue because houdini did not take things from critter based on my knowledge.

If the claim is that Houdini took things from stockfish or from ippolit then Richard is not the author of these programs so it is not relevant for him.

I also think that RobertoLito's threats are the main reason that Richard didn't pull a new version out of his sleeves till now........
