1. Are, within reason, on the topic of computer chess
2. Are not abusive in nature
3. Do not contain personal and/or libellous attacks on others
4. Are not flagrant commercial exhortations
5. Are not of questionable legal status
An attack against a program, or, by extension or directly, the programmer, alleging a breach of civil, criminal or contract law is against one or more of the above CCC Charter clauses.
Moderators will exercise tolerance of such posts and threads if, and only if, substantial, objective, verifiable data is presented and only if such posts are made using moderate and objective language.
Preemptive conclusions of illegal or bad behaviour on the part of an attacked programmer based on partial data or unsound data or opinions will be treated with extreme intolerance.
For avoidance of any doubt. Objective discussion is fine. Libel is not.
