Programs with a human playing style

Post by JensBNielsen »

If a program should play well/entertaining against humans, I assume it should play like this in these positions 39, 40 and 41: http://www.jens-musik.dk/rating67.jpg (sorry for the bad quality)

And sorry if this about playing style against humans is old stuff here - I have not really followed computerchess for 10 years.
But the positions might be new to you.

Take care, Jens

PS:

Perhaps you wonder where these positions are from?

"From 1986 to 1991 I constructed a test based on more than 100 chess positions.
The goal was to be able to estimate the rating of the programs tested.
And use the test for improving the development of chess programs."

Thanks again, Ted

I can supply with the lines for the 3 positions:

-Re3 b7?,Re1+! draw by stalemate

-Nd7 (threat on d4) Ne2?,Ne5! winning a bishop

-Ne2 d8Q?,g5+ Kh5,Nf4+! exf4,Rxh3+ mate.
